CANGGU, BALI – 24 August, 2026: Bali is known for sunsets, surf and beach clubs. Now, visitors can add dancing robots to the list.
FINNS Bali has partnered with AI transformation agency botshift to introduce a resident squad of humanoid robots at FINNS Beach Club, bringing a new kind of technology-led entertainment to the island.
Taking artificial intelligence out of the digital realm and into the physical world, the robots will become part of the FINNS experience, appearing live at the beach club through a program of entertainment designed to surprise guests throughout the day.
The resident robot squad will take part in robot-versus-human dance-offs, sunset DJ sets and guest photo moments, creating an experience that blends technology, entertainment and the unmistakable energy of FINNS.
FINNS Bali Global CEO Beau Whittington said the partnership reflected FINNS’ ongoing focus on creating experiences guests would not expect to encounter during a traditional Bali holiday.
“FINNS has always been about creating experiences people remember, and this is another example of us pushing that experience forward,” Whittington said.
“We wanted to do something playful and unexpected that hasn’t been seen here before. These robots aren’t sitting behind glass at a technology showcase. They’re right in the middle of FINNS, interacting with guests, dancing, performing and becoming part of the entertainment.”
“Technology is changing incredibly quickly, but for us the exciting part is finding ways to use it to create something genuinely fun for our guests.”
The partnership with botshift reflects the rapid evolution of embodied AI, where artificial intelligence moves beyond screens and software and into machines capable of operating and interacting in physical environments.
For guests at FINNS, however, the proposition is deliberately much simpler: come and meet the robots.
Rather than requiring visitors to attend a technology exhibition or specialist event, FINNS is putting humanoid technology directly into an environment Australians already know and love.
The robots will perform regularly at FINNS Beach Club, with programming including dance battles between robots and human performers, appearances alongside DJs and opportunities for guests to interact and capture photos with the squad.
Physical AI is stepping out of the lab and onto the world stage, and there’s no better stage than Finns,” said Alex Ronalds, Co-Founder & CEO, botshift. “This partnership makes Indonesia one of the first countries on earth where you can walk in off the street and meet a humanoid robot with genuine character. Every guest who meets the squad becomes a storyteller. Together with Finns, we’re showing the world what live entertainment looks like in the age of physical AI.”
The collaboration forms part of FINNS’ broader evolution as it continues to introduce new experiences across its Bali destinations.
