\nJAKARTA, Indonesia \u2013 In a landmark development for the region, the Government
\nof Indonesia, through the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS),
\nhas officially joined as a co-host for the Global Sustainable Development
\nCongress (GSDC) 2026.<\/p>\n

This partnership
\ntransforms the Jakarta-based Congress from a summit of ideas into a global
\ndecision-making hub. With the Government of Indonesia at the heart alongside
\nthe Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the 2026
\nevent will serve as the primary platform where national policy meets global
\ninnovation to drive the next chapter of the SDGs.<\/p>\n

\nleads the regional charge toward a resilient future, we are proud to host a
\nplatform that reflects the true complexity of the SDGs. Sustainability cannot
\nbe achieved by any one sector in isolation; it requires a unified front of

\npowerful coalition in Jakarta, we are bridging the gap between strategic intent
\nand real-world implementation. This partnership ensures that the solutions
\nforged here have the political weight, the financial backing, and the

\nAsia-Pacific Business Summit: Bridging Policy and Profit <\/p>\n

A defining feature
\nof the 2026 program is the launch of the inaugural Asia-Pacific Sustainable
\nBusiness Summit. Running alongside the main Congress, this high-level forum
\naddresses the priorities shaping sustainable business across the Asia-Pacific
\nregion, from energy transition and finance to supply chains, circularity,
\ndigital infrastructure and workforce capability. Participating businesses
\ninclude; Coco-Cola, TikTok and IBM along with the European Investment Bank,
\nDanantara Indonesia and the UN Global Compact.<\/p>\n

Leadership in
\nEducation and Philanthropy <\/p>\n

The Congress will
\nfeature a concentration of decision-makers including regional Ministers of
\nEducation and Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, founder and chairman of the Sunway
\nGroup, whose philanthropic commitment to quality education is a cornerstone of
\nthe regional SDG movement.<\/p>\n

The event will also
\nfeature the live global reveal of THE\u2019s Impact Ratings 2026, the world\u2019s
